DMCA & Copyright Policy

challengR respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and comparable laws. This policy explains how to submit a notice, how to file a counter-notice, and what happens to repeat infringers.

If you believe content on challengR infringes a copyright you own or control, send a written notice to our designated agent (below) that includes all of the following:

• Your physical or electronic signature (as the owner or an authorized agent).
• Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
• Identification of the material you claim is infringing and enough detail for us to locate it (for example, the rendition or challenge URL).
• Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

When we receive a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the material expeditiously and make a reasonable effort to notify the user who posted it. We may also remove content proactively where we have a good-faith belief that it infringes or violates our Community Guidelines.

If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to our designated agent that includes:

• Your physical or electronic signature.
• Identification of the removed material and where it appeared before removal.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
• Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court and will accept service of process from the complaining party.

We may restore the material in a timeframe consistent with applicable law unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action.

challengR will, in appropriate circumstances, disable and terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers. We may also limit access to users who repeatedly submit content that infringes the rights of others.

Under the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages. Please be sure your notice or counter-notice is accurate.
