Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 10, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how challengR uses cookies and similar technologies, what each type is for, and how you can control them.

1.What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences (such as being signed in) over time, so you don't have to re-enter them each time you return. We also use similar technologies such as local storage and session tokens, which we refer to collectively as “cookies” in this policy.

2.Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for challengR to function and cannot be switched off. They keep you authenticated after you sign in, maintain your session securely, and protect against fraud and abuse.

This includes the session cookies set by our authentication provider (Supabase) and the token used by our human-verification check (Cloudflare Turnstile) on the sign-up form. Without these cookies, signing in and submitting entries would not work.

3.Functional cookies

Functional cookies remember choices you make to give you a better experience — for example your theme preference (light or dark mode), dismissed notices, and other interface settings. Losing these only resets preferences; core features keep working.

4.Analytics cookies

We may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand which challenges, pages, and features are used most, so we can improve the platform. These cookies help us count visits and measure performance in aggregate. Where required by law, we only set analytics cookies with your consent.

5.Payment cookies

Our payment processor (Stripe) may set cookies needed to process a transaction securely and to reduce fraud. During the Beta service no real-money purchases are charged; where checkout is exercised for testing, these cookies are set only during that flow and are governed by Stripe's own privacy and cookie policies.

6.Third parties that set cookies

Some cookies are set by the trusted services we rely on to operate challengR:

  • Supabase — authentication and session management
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection on sign-up
  • Stripe — coin and membership payments

These providers process cookie data on our behalf strictly to deliver their part of the service.

7.Managing cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings, and set your browser to block them. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in and using core parts of challengR. Most browsers let you clear cookies or browse in a private window that discards them when closed.

8.Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as the platform evolves or as legal requirements change. Material updates will be reflected by changing the date above and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice.
